Anyone else hum the theme from SWAT when they think Swatch? Picture a troop of knitters dressed in black, rolling out of the back of a truck, armed with needles and with coils of yarn thrown over their shoulders? The leader is called “2-TOG” (she’s close to retirement and wants to play it safe), and the good natured black knitter that you just know is going to die is named “Stitch”. There’s a tech savvy knitter named “Rav”, who can look up anything lickety split, even when the stitch markers are flying. And the rookie, the one who will take a needle to the heart to save 2-TOG, she’s named “Gauge”.
Wa na na, wa na na, wa na na- da dut!
(No, just you Cass.)
In the continuing saga of the Seduce swatch:

I’m much happier with the fabric knitted on size 7’s, but it’s still going to be quite sheer. I guess I’ll live with that.
Here’s my swatch:

Yes, it’s huge. I don’t know why I felt the need to cast on 80 stitches for a swatch.
I’ll knit a few more inches, then block it.
The yarn truly is lovely. The bits of blue almost look like tiny beads. I’m pleased with the yarn overall, even if a bit disappointed with the fabric for this pattern.
Just call me “Frog”. I’m the clumsy comic relief who drops the notions bag all the time. Inevitably I’ll be shot in the shoulder with a crochet hook (that mean ol’ “Hooker” is a bitch), but in the end I’ll be fine.
That yarn looks lovely!
You go girl!
Not bad with the 7s. You’ll just have to wear a tank top underneath.
It looks pretty. I like the blue specks. i actually thought there really was beads in it.
Yeah, poor Stitch will be the first to die. (Sigh)
Have you tried a 5, maybe?
Doesn’t it drive you crazy that they never list the little details with the pictures, like she’s wearing a perfectly matching camisole under that knitted top? That peach shell tank I crocheted last summer was like that. Fortunately the woman I sold it to found a camisole to match exactly with that piece of too much peachi-ness, lol. The yarn is fabulous. It’ll look great on you too!
dude, I would watch your version of SWAT hehehe
I really like how the blue specks in the yarn show up - it’s very pretty!
I hate swatching, but it is an evil necessity sometimes….. and yes, your swatch is huge, but sometimes you just gotta swatch!!!
That yarn, even if does make it sheer hangs perfect for that patten. I can’t wait to see the finish object.
hahaha…. i’m just glad that i’m not the only old enough to remember SWAT! your swatch looks great - maybe the yarn will “bloom” a bit once it gets wet?
You’re insane! But in a good way. Methinks a top underneath may be required to maintain modesty - 7 is definitely better, I’m not sure how much further you want to go down to keep a good drape too…
Love how the yarn looks.
Beautiful yarn and I’m sure the finished top will be lovely… I think with the 7’s and a cami underneath it’ll be fine!
Shaft. I think Shaft instead of SWAT.
And now dammit it’s stuck in my head and I’ll have to go bang it against a wall to get rid of it.
Hey Cass, I sent payment for the book fri. Check your paypal account. I sent a message through ravelry, but I don’t know if you got it. thanks
Megan
