Well Crud in a Bucket
April 27, 2008 by Cass
That’s what my grandmother used to say when she messed something up.
I’m more likely to say “Well fuck me.” Which is what I’ve been saying all morning.
My knitting has been everywhere with me lately, and I’ve been literally working on it for seconds at a time. Not a very smart thing to do, it seems, when knitting socks.

There’s the heel. The sides of the heel are not supposed to look like this:

It took me several minutes of close study (and cursing) to figure out that I’ve not been decreasing as I work each row of the heel.
Fuck me.
So I’ll be spending my few seconds at a time of knitting ripping back and restarting the heel.

It sucks to be me.
Hmm. Not right, true, but the yarn’s so pretty!
That’s why I don’t do socks… nope, I get too much frustration from socks… they make me want to throw them across the room… so I do other things that don’t make me want to hurt people… good luck!! *psst* nice yarn
I like that yarn, too!
I’ve done that on socks a few times, too.
Feeling your pain. Your Mom will really appreciate the effort, I am sure
My usual seems to be “Piss willy!”. I think my mom started me saying that, come to think. LOL
Beautiful yarn! I love the colorway. On my first and only pair of socks (so far) I knit the heel so tight while watching a very exciting college football championship, that I swear it was 1/3 the original size. It was so weird that I didn’t see it happening. When the game and heel were over, I ripped out the sucker laughing the whole time. That’s also the only time I’ve ever laughed while ripping.
That sucks!! I feel your pain….
Just catching up and dropping in to say that I hope that the pretty colors helped alleviate some of the pain.
